Change fatigue
The exhaustion and disengagement that builds up when people experience too much change over too long a period.
Change fatigue is the human cost of sustained or poorly sequenced change. It shows up as apathy, cynicism, and reduced discretionary effort, and it undermines even well-designed changes.
Managing fatigue means sequencing change to respect capacity, communicating honestly, celebrating wins, and giving groups time to stabilize between major shifts.
